SigmaPro’s fundamental business objective is to maximize shareholder value for its clients. SigmaPro employs a holistic approach to business transformation that is based on understanding and clarifying the strategy for the organization, ensuring that there is alignment around the strategy throughout the organization using policy deployment, and then customizing a business transformation approach based on our tried and true expertise in the successful deployment of business transformations based on Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) systems.
Our Lean and Lean Six Sigma training curricula and deployment models are based on the Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) methodology and are designed to provide the tools & methods to help any organization cut costs, streamline operations, reduce inventory, minimize cycle time, and increase customer satisfaction. Our Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) training curricula and deployment systems are designed to help all organizations optimize the product portfolio through application of the Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Validate (DMADV) methodology for product, process, and service design. SigmaPro’s comprehensive portfolio of products and services can be easily customized to enable your organization to rapidly and effectively deploy Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or Design for Six Sigma.
The first step in SigmaPro’s deployment approach is to understand the client’s strategic plan. In general, the strategic planning process starts with the creation of a plan to accomplish the strategic plan. The next steps are to assess the values of the stakeholders and then utilize the stakeholders’ inputs to formulate a mission statement. Then the planning team must create a viable business model, which includes the culture of the organization, the required investment capital, which business lines warrant increased investment, which business lines to warrant divestiture, and when new business lines to invest in, as well as numerous other operational considerations. The team will then perform an assessment of the organization in terms of capabilities and financial strength, and the current performance will be compared to the desired state to create a list of gaps. Based on the magnitude of the gaps, the planning team will either reconsider the business model or proceed with action plans for implementation of the strategic plan.
It is at this point that organizations will consider business transformation activities such as Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or DFSS as well as other improvement vehicles to close organizational gaps. At SigmaPro, we have extensive experience in helping clients determine how to effectively close strategic gaps through business transformations. Once the client and SigmaPro have developed a deployment plan for some combination of Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and/or DFSS that is tailored by business unit and product lines, SigmaPro will assist the client in integrating goals for the rollout in the policy deployment system. By fully integrating the programmatic goals into the policy deployment system, the client will address the single largest risk factor in Lean, Lean Six Sigma, or DFSS deployments – that middle management does not choose improvement projects that are aligned with the future direction of the company. SigmaPro’s Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and DFSS training and consulting can then be adapted to suit the varying needs of client business units as well as simultaneous programmatic rollout across several geographies.
SigmaPro's management curricula for business transformation are second to none, as our Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Design for Six Sigma programs have been field tested for all types of organizations. SigmaPro’s Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) training curricula fully integrate the latest tools, methods, and best practices into a coherent step-by-step system that maximizes results while minimizing effort. The SigmaPro Lean and Lean Six Sigma training curricula have been continuously refined since 1990, and the SigmaPro DFSS curriculum has been continuously refined since 1997. As a result, SigmaPro has developed an extensive library of course modules to provide rapid customized training for any type of organization. SigmaPro maintains a complete set of learning objectives for each training and certification course, and these learning objectives and course materials can be customized at the request of the client.
SigmaPro also offers exceptional training and consulting for all aspects of Leadership, including maturity model assessments, change management, strategic planning and deployment planning. As a supportive service line, SigmaPro offers cost-effective training and consulting on tools and methods to support Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma and general operations or quality improvement. SigmaPro offers attractive licensing arrangements to clients that wish to license SigmaPro training materials in order to become self-sufficient in a rapid fashion. SigmaPro’s intellectual property has been independently developed – it is NOT a derivative of training materials from any other consulting organization or client of a consulting organization, as has become common in the Lean Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma consulting industry. SigmaPro’s Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and DFSS curricula are aligned with the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Six Sigma body of knowledge (SSBOK). In fact, the SigmaPro curriculum is substantially more rigorous than ASQ’s SSBOK in many regards. SigmaPro’s DFSS curriculum is second to none based on client feedback and an independent review of several competing curriculums. In addition, SigmaPro’s training curriculum was utilized by the American Society for Quality and the Six Sigma Academy for several years.
SigmaPro has developed the leading management curriculum for integrated business transformation through Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Design for Six Sigma deployment. The first step is to ensure that Lean Six Sigma Champions (middle managers) fully understand how to select projects that are aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. Champion training can be integrated with the beginning of each technical class, or it can be delivered separately (recommended). SigmaPro’s technical curriculum is also second to none, based on its continuous refinement since 1990. SigmaPro’s technical training is carefully aligned with pilot projects so that team members apply new learnings concurrent with instruction. The goal of this approach is consistent with the fundamental objective to improve existing processes using qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques that result in high quality products, processes and services. SigmaPro offers introduction training, as well as all industry-recognized certification levels with specializations for service and industrial participants.
